How to clean old email accounts?
ಸುಮಾರು 20 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹಳೆಯದಾದ ನನ್ನ ಯಾಹೂ ಅಕೌಂಟು ಬಹಳ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ಪ್ಯಾಮ್ ಇ-ಮೇಲ್ಗಳ ಕಾಟದಿಂದ ನಲುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿತ್ತು. ಕೇವಲ ಅರ್ಧ ಘಂಟೆಯ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಳೆಯ ಅಕೌಂಟು ಚೊಕ್ಕವಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಬೇಕಾದ ವಿಷಯ-ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ಆರ್ಗನೈಜ್ ಆದವು. ಇದೇ ಸುಸಂದರ್ಭ ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡು, ನನ್ನ ಜೀ-ಮೇಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಔಟ್ಲುಕ್ ಅಕೌಂಟುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಹ ಕ್ಲೀನ್ ಮಾಡಿದೆ... ಈಗ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾಗಿದೆ ನೋಡಿ!
ನನಗೆ ಉಪಯುಕ್ತವಾದ ಈ ಮೆತಡ್ ಅನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ... ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ, ವರ್ಕ್ ಆಯಿತೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ತಿಳಿಸಿ.

Just because you bought a thing from someone, several years ago... they have been sending you emails non-stop! And, your never ever read them!
The usual grouping, labeling, archiving, moving to folders, etc methods are only superficial, I mean, they don't address the root cause. While everyone wants keep their inbox clean and crisp, their remaining labels, folders, and more importantly, storage gets messed up and becomes full.
These unwanted, unsolicited emails are spams - no one ever wants them, but the spammers keep sending them anyway!
Here's what you need to do:
1. Go to All Mails or your Inbox or your largest folder
2. Look for repeating offenders: like merchants, online stores, etc that you have used once or twice in the past
3. Open one of the emails and look for "Unsubscribe" link in the bottom (sometimes it is hidden, sometimes they use very small font)
4. Click unsubscribe, it mostly opens a new window; either they confirm you're unsubscribed or you need to make another choice/click to "unsubscribe" fully (watch out for daily/weekly/monthly traps)
5. Go back to your Inbox (or largest folder), Search for that merchant (or sender) that you just unsubscribed
6. Select all the mails and click Delete/Trash
You need to repeat steps 2-6 as many times as possible, you will see the clutter reduce like a magic.
The best is yet to come - there won't be any more new emails from the ones that you just unsubscribed!
So, in the end, it is all a happy ending... I bet, your time was well spent and your inbox (including your storage) is fully recovered!
